Academy Course Overview

Running over eight days, during two weeks at our modern training facility. The Majenta Academy will teach students the essential requirements to make them stand-out candidates with today’s forward looking manufacturing organisations.

Utilising the latest cutting edge Autodesk Alias and Autodesk Showcase digital design software, students will hone and enhance their essential talents, that are required to fast track their way to the top graduate design roles in the UK.

The Alias Academy covers the methodologies used in the automotive, transportation and product design industries for developing new concepts. This includes the different stages of the design workflow including sketch modelling, technical surfacing, reverse engineering, visualisation, presentation and animation.

• Sketch modelling – create a concept and develop a form in a 3D environment
• 3D Modelling, using surface patch strategies to resolve potential surface issues
• ‘A’ Class surfacing fundamentals and workflow
• Technical Surfacing – surface manipulation and control vertice (CV) layout
• Reverse Engineering – importing and working with package drawings and creating the form
• Animation, Visualization and presentation using Autodesk Showcase
